Design Partner: Year in Review
2025 kicked off at Showit HQ with a challenge from our owner Todd Watson to try new things, experiment, and fail fast. That challenge gave our teams the freedom to dream and try new things, be ok with failing, and to keep moving forward. One of the biggest outcomes that you might have noticed was our Safari support which makes the experience of using Showit smoother for your clients (and now accounts for 10% of our users). That experimental mindset has shaped much of our year and pushed our whole team to strengthen the ways we support the designers who rely on Showit every day.
As a Design Partner, you have proven how you’re a great Showit designer who creates beautiful site designs, follows high quality standards and delivers a strong client experience. Your recognition as a Design Partner gives you meaningful visibility on our public Designers listing where customers can find you, a Partner badge that builds trust with potential clients, exclusive access to events like DXP, and the opportunity to submit templates to the Showit Design Market. You also have access to an exclusive Partner area in our online community where your messages and feature requests greatly shape the features we develop, including our recent updates for site folders, buttons and layer grouping.
Our Design Partner community continues to grow (by 42 this year) and we are continuing to make adjustments to support that growth. This summer Cole stepped up to lead our new template review process with help from our international support team, and in June we welcomed Mandy to the Designer Community team to expand our ability to better support our Partners and designer community. We know that sometimes it can be a challenge connecting the right customer project with the best Partner so we also introduced a simple way for customers to submit their project needs and allow you to review and respond if it’s a good fit for your business.
Spark was another big highlight of the year. There’s something special about gathering in person and getting to finally meet so many of you face to face, some for the very first time. The educational sessions were packed with practical ideas, honest conversations, and encouragement from many Partners who generously shared their experience with the rest of the community. We also had the chance to celebrate our Designer Award winners at Spark which was a joy for our team and a reminder of the incredible work being created across this community.
That same energy carried into our fourth year hosting our Designer Experience (DXP) retreat where in-person connection created space for deeper conversations and real clarity. Many Partners told us how impactful it was to slow down and reconnect with their purpose. One shared, “During this week I started to feel that spark again … for the first time in a long time I felt like myself again.” DXP continues to be a place where Partners can recharge, reset, and walk away with renewed confidence in the direction of their business. If you’ve never joined us at a DXP before, I would highly recommend attending this Partner exclusive event during one of our three dates in 2026.
We also know this year wasn’t easy for many of you. Some of you walked through heavy personal challenges while others pushed through difficult seasons in your business. If that’s you, we want you to know you’re not alone; many of your peers are experiencing similar things this year. At Spark, Chris shared a meaningful talk about the different seasons we all move through and the responsibility we carry within each one. If you need encouragement, his message is worth revisiting.
As we look ahead to 2026, our Designer Community team is committed to supporting your growth, championing your work, and creating more opportunities for you to thrive. We hope you continue to stay connected, show up for one another, and make plans to join us at a DXP next year. We’re grateful for each of you and excited for everything that’s ahead. As you read through the rest of this Year in Review, you’ll find highlights from across our community including our designer award winners, growing industries, and key stats from the year. We hope it leaves you encouraged and proud of the work you’ve contributed to this community.
